Early Career Framework Updates

Reflections

  • At the start of the spring term, we welcomed new Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who started their two-year Early career Development Programme (ECPDP). Please visit our website by following this link for full details or by eMailing ecf@hisptsh.org
  • At the start of the term, we were delighted to host Year 1 ECTs and their Mentors at their Regional Training events in Southampton and Portsmouth. For each event we saw over 100 participants gather to develop their practice.
  • We also welcomed Year 2 ECTs to their Local Training sessions. You can watch a short video of one of these training events by following this link.

Looking Ahead

  • We look forward to welcoming participants to their Summer Term Training events – places can be booked via the Education Development Trust’s website.
  • ECTs and Mentors starting the ECF based training programme are invited to a ‘Welcome Briefing’ on the 18th April 2023 at 16:00. They will receive an invite to this briefing but should you wish to join then please eMail ecf@hisptsh.org
  • We have an exciting opportunity for ECTs to come together for a day of raising consciousness, competence, and confidence when it comes to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and their teaching practice. Diverse Educators is holding a ‘DEI Virtual Conference for ECTs’ on Friday June 30th 2023 when a brilliant line up of people will share their expertise and experience on how to create an inclusive classroom and an inclusive curriculum. The event is £50 for your first ECT and then £10 for subsequent ones.  Please express your interest by completing the form via this link

Key Reminders

  • April Cohort A (April 2022 starters) and January Cohort B (January 2023 starters) should book onto Local Training Sessions and Regional Training Events with the September Cohort B (September 2022 starters). • April Cohort B (April 2023 starters) will join the new September Cohort C (September 2023 starers) this September for their Local and Regional Training sessions.

Key Reminders
